    A Verse of Purity

    Who closed the door
    Behind him
    And hung verandahs
    On the waiting sigh?

Putting the sea and the airports
    Under his armpit
    He is charmed by desires
And the nights are lulling him

    Devoted to misery
    His scandals are tied
    To the pillars of confusion
    Pretending forgetfulness

    I listen to him
    When divulgence
    Watches his tongue
    With a withered tenderness:
    His verse is purity

    He boasts of his faults
    Grief has brocaded his nights
    And his moons
    Are filled with weeping
